paint the town

I completely fell in love with this space when I saw it in this week's Sunday Life Magazine (part of The Age). The home of Melbourne artist Arite Kannavos is an amazing amalgamation of collectables, her own art and beautiful statement furniture pieces. It is a mixture of clean modern and eclectic worldly style and I am inspired by each piece that makes up this symphony of a living space. I'm very tempted to make a trip to Gaudions in Prahran to pick up one (or some) of her cushions that would add life to any sofa. I also noted the family heirloom quilt bought in New York. I'm going to have to get my Mum back onto our own family quilt project- started in 1999 with a family holiday to the Amish country in America, and still a work in progress...
