This is the story of the best dessert I ever ate. I make no secret of the fact that I have a great love for macarons. Well, take one large raspberry macaron, fill it with patisserie custard and fresh raspberries, dust with icing sugar and you have heaven in a dessert, a macaron framboise. Whilst strolling through the Levallois-Perret district of Paris, my sister and I found an incredible artisan boulangerie and patisserie. The choice was tough; freshly made croissants, citron tart, eclairs, chocolate gateau... the list goes on. But there was one dessert, the lucky last of its kind, and this would be the dessert to end all desserts. One bite and I was hooked, never to look back. I must confess, we may have returned for more the next day. Macaron framboise: the official mascot of my Paris adventure and the best dessert I ever ate.
