bircher muesli and the search for melbourne's best brunch

I caught up with an old friend on the weekend. It was so much fun to reminisce and catch-up on a couple of years worth of news. I was in charge of picking the venue so I decided to try a cafe on my brunch hit list: Snow Pony. In the same cafe family as previously reviewed and loved Porgie + Mr Jones (read the post here), I had great expectations for this quirky suburban eatery. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that the menu was more or less the same as P+MJ, but I was secretly hoping for some more variety. But don't let this deter you from trying it out. Snow Pony's chefs make everything in their own kitchen using as much organic, free range and local produce as possible. And for $16.90 I loved my organic fresh oj served in an amber glass bottle and bircher muesli, in a cute Bonne Maman jar.
