It has just occurred to me that I have failed to share all of my Bali experiences with you! Being a cold, Melbourne, Friday night, I am pining for balmy Bali nights, listening to waves crash onto the beach, enjoying time with my husband, listening to chilled tunes and drinking pina coladas. Five nights just wasn't enough to experience everything that Bali's nightlife has to offer, but we think we found some of the best Bali has to offer at Potato Head, Rock Bar and Ku De Ta. I love family celebrations and the best kind are those spent loving the moment, laughing with each other and sharing a great meal. That's just what I did last week when my family got together to celebrate my amazing grandfather's 88th birthday. We decided to make it a special occasion and treated ourselves to a lunch at The Point in Albert Park and I have to say the food was incredibly creative and completely delicious. I had Murray Cod for main and Creme Brûlée for dessert and the flavours of both dishes transported me. I have to be honest though, a had a tiny bit of food envy. When my sister ordered the banana cake I couldn't have imagined the inspired glass bowl display with a melting chocolate lid that arrived at her place! If you're visiting Melbourne or keen to try some of the best food in town whilst taking in a beautiful view of Albert Park Lake, make The Point your next stop!

Here are some of the last pictures of our beautiful holiday in Bali. Our last afternoon there was spent roaming the streets of Seminyak and enjoying sunset on the beach before heading to Potato Head for a final cocktail. It was a beautifully relaxing trip and reinforced my need to holiday (and travel)... often!

Today is a brand new day for Tell Her She's Dreaming. It is the start of THSD's second year and many exciting new things to come. I took this photo on Tuesday during my flight home to Melbourne. It was refreshing to take some time away from a computer, a television, even my iPod to just reflect on the year that has been and prepare myself for what is in store. Today is an exciting day because it is Tell Her She's Dreaming's first birthday! It's hard to believe that I have been blogging here for a whole year now. veggies and the search for melbourne's best brunch

Whilst I thoroughly appreciated the recent long weekend, I certainly did not appreciate the arctic weather we experienced here in Melbourne. Nevertheless, Ben and I decided to brave the cold and head out for a brunch expedition. So we rugged up, put on our walking shoes and went for a (brisk) walk to find a local cafe, nearby the house that we're currently staying in. We soon stumbled across what is clearly a neighbourhood favourite: The Red Brick Cafe. I decided to go with the veggie breakfast and whilst it wasn't my favourite brunch to date, it definitely didn't disappoint. And actually, now that I think about it, it's the first brunch I've eaten in a while that left me satisfied, but not uncomfortably (roll-me-out-of-here) full!

There is something so special about Melbourne's CBD. I love exploring the cultural lane ways, new shopping precincts and amazing food. Ben and I recently spent a lazy Sunday wandering around the city and found the perfect place for an afternoon pick-me-up at Cupcake Central! I picked a delicious chocolate swirl babycake from the amazing selection of flavours including cookies & cream, salted caramel, pear crumble and apple & rhubarb, just to name a few. I also fell in love with their pastel mint Smeg fridge. Oh how I would love to have one in my kitchen someday!
