Okay, I'll admit it. I haven't been excited about blogging lately.
It's not that I haven't enjoyed putting this blog together over the past 18 months. I love to write, I love having a 'creative outlet' and I love the MacBook Pro that Ben carefully chose for me to write with. The whole experience of creating a blog... a happy place for me to share my thoughts, has been so fulfilling.
The thing is, you can't just have a blog. You have to have an engaging Facebook page - a visually appealing Instagram account - a witty Twitter feed and don't even get me started on social networking, RSS, commenting, linking and SEO. The truth is, I just don't want to spend all of my spare time on my computer. Life moves pretty fast... and I don't want to see the whole thing through social media sites and feel the need to document every moment. I want to live in it. I want to love it.
Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying we should all shut down our blogs and Facebook pages. For those of you that love it- keep at it! What I am saying is, if like me, you've been tempted to check Bloglovin' before you lift your head off the pillow in the morning, if you've found yourself casually scrolling through your Facebook feed whilst simultaneously carrying out a conversation with your best friend or if you've felt the need to stop enjoying a moment to capture it on Instagram... maybe take some time to reassess things. I'm still going to blog and I still unashamedly love Instagram. I just won't post with the regularity that I have been. You'll also see a difference in the content that I post about.
I'm on a journey in 2013 and I hope you'll come with me.
Stop & look,
