love your body: eat organic oats


As promised in my last post, in 2013, Tell Her She's Dreaming is going to feature some new content. This is the year that I plan to be the healthiest, fittest and happiest I've ever been and I will be sharing my journey with you here! 

So, today I'm posting my favourite new kick-start breakfast. Organic oats are a great source of dietary fibre, reduce cholesterol, are gluten free, protect your body from disease, help to control your weight and most importantly- taste delicious! Here is my recipe for organic porridge. You can get organic oats almost anywhere these days but I used Planet Organic oats this morning. I also love adding a spoonful of Indah's organic virgin coconut oil for energy and vitality in the morning. 

what you'll need:
1/3 cup organic oats
1 cup water
1 tablespoon pre-soaked organic chia seeds
1 tablespoon Indah organic coconut oil
3 tablespoons organic greek yoghurt
1 handful organic raspberries
1 teaspoon organic pepitas
1 teaspoon organic sunflower seeds

how to make it:
Put oats, water, chia seeds and coconut oil in a saucepan and cook over a low heat for 5 minutes*.
Pour into a bowl and top with yoghurt, raspberries, pepitas and sunflower seeds. 
It's as simple as that! 

*Cooking time may vary, so check the oats packaging for details.
