take five: beauty buys

Sometimes you just need to take five! Five minutes to relax, regroup and reenergise.

Introducing my new blog section, take five: a chance for you to switch-off from the business of your day and read about 5 of my favourite things. My first take five is a list of five of my favourite beauty buys. In fact, they're my beauty essentials! When it comes to choosing products for my skin, the first question I ask myself is...

Is it organic?

Skin is so absorbent and often very sensitive, so it's essential that the ingredients you treat it with on a daily basis are natural and good for you- not pumped up with chemical nasties! So naturally, all of my top beauty buys are organic. Organic products don't come more versatile than extra virgin coconut oil (and coconut oil doesn't come any better than Indah!) I use it to treat my hair, to moisturise my body, to cook with and here's a hot tip: if you've ever got grease on your legs from riding a bike, which has become a common problem for me, coconut oil will get it straight off! Other products I love are Grown's facial cleanser which is a mild, foaming and delicious smelling cleanser and is perfect for daily use for those with sensitive skin (like me!) When my skin is feeling a bit rough or it's lacking a real glow, a give it a good scrub with Kora's exfoliating cream and follow with a soak of coconut oil. Next up is Sukin's rosehip oil. Packed with powerful antioxidants, rosehip oil is anti-ageing and a great moisturiser for the face. And last, but certainly not least, I never leave home without my Suvana paw paw and honey lip balm. It's the ultimate cure for dry lips!

you are beautiful,
sarah x
